Fantasy Football – Waiver Wire Pickups of the Week

The picks for the waiver wire get a bit slim as we move on to week 5…if you haven’t already, you should probably try to start reaching out to other managers for trades. We’ll have more on which players to sell high on (Joe Mixon/Odell Beckham) and which to buy low on (Darius Slayton/Carson Wentz) tomorrow’s Fantasy Football Podcast. Here’s a look at some waiver wire options for this week:

  1. Tee Higgins (WR, Cincinnati) – Higgins looks like someone that Joe Burrow trusts and their offense is starting to get better each week. They have a tough schedule coming up, but Higgins is a great stash candidate.
  2. Teddy Bridgewater (QB, Carolina) – Bridgewater had a really good week last week, ending up as a top QB before the Monday night games are played. He has ATL, CHI, NO, ATL coming up, so if you need a fill in for right now, he could be a great option.
  3. Joshua Kelley or Justin Jackson (RBs, L.A. Chargers) – With Austin Ekeler out for several weeks, these guys could really help fill out your stable of running backs. This week’s game against the Saints will clue us in to how they will split carries, but whoever gets the job will deliver in fantasy.

That’s it for this week – join us tomorrow at 5:30 pm for the Lost Tribe Fantasy Show where you can ask the experts your fantasy football questions!
