Lost Tribe wrapped up Israeli Independence Week with an electric Rocket League Duos tournament that came down to the wire. On April 18, Lost Tribe hosted the first ever skill-based Rocket League tournament for Jewish teens, with a platinum-and-below event for lower ranked players to show off their skills.
Team White Mamba, comprised of Lost Tribe legend, Matthew Shaw, and his cousin, Drew, swept their first-round best-of-five series, 3-0, and never looked back. A 3-1 victory in the next round earned them a trip to the semi-finals, where they faced Sinister Tadpoles, their toughest opponent yet. The series went to five games, and after three consecutive one-goal games, White Mamba emerged victorious with a 3-2 OT win and punched their ticket to the grand final.
Their finals opponent, Diversity RL, including Lost Tribe members Mr. Moose & Jsnahum, had a perfect 9-0 record entering the finals after sweeping through the first three rounds. Diversity RL picked up right where they left off and took a commanding 2-0 series lead. After a nail-biting, three-minute overtime, White Mamba stayed alive with yet another OT victory, winning 4-3. However, it was not enough, as Diversity RL had their sights set on a championship and never looked back. In Game Four they dominated on the offensive end and sealed the championship with a 5-2 victory, capturing their first Lost Tribe tournament win.
Lost Tribe will continue to offer Rocket League events to Jewish teens in May with a 3v3 tournament on Sunday May 9, and two 2v2 tournaments on Sunday, May 30.
